Elisabeth Weed

About Elisabeth

Elisabeth Weed began her publishing career at Curtis Brown in 1999.  In 2007, Elisabeth opened her own agency, Weed Literary, where she began focusing primarily on upmarket fiction.  She is especially attracted to plot-driven novels with a sense of place, and loves discovering new voices. She’s on the hunt for literary thrillers and crime novels and has a soft spot for historical fiction. Elisabeth is committed to working with authors not just on individual titles, but for the long term. Her clients' novels have appeared on the New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists as well as international bestseller lists around the globe.  Elisabeth has a weakness for books that are unpredictable, atmospheric and suspenseful, and she is especially excited about thrillers, historical fiction, or a combination of the two.

Although she is a born and bred New Yorker, Elisabeth recently moved from the city to the suburbs with her husband and two children.  Now that she finally has a normal sized kitchen, she has discovered her love of cooking, something she loves almost as much as reading a great novel in bed.

A few books she loves...  In the Woods by Tana French, When Will There Be Good News? by Kate Atkinson, The Expats by Chris Pavone,  Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarity, Bel Canto by Ann Patchett, Enduring Love by Ian McEwan, and The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield.
